That’s a big dude right there. Didn’t expect these to be this size! Next up is delrin engine, transmission and the differential mount itself along with toe eliminators and delrin subframe bushings. The RX7 is getting the love it deserves!

I have two diff bushings about that size waiting to go into my RX-8.

Nah NVH doesn’t bother me at all if the end product is a well planted and communicative car.

That’s about the only upgrade I’ll be doing for autocross this offseason unfortunately. Trying to pay off some debt this year. I really wanted to upgrade to an OK Giken rear diff as that’s really the last piece of equipment I need to have my car be as prepped as it can possibly be for my autocross class.

I had delrin subframe bushings on my old V70. They certainly made things taut, but I wouldn't do it again on a daily driver. Have fun! Sounds like it will be hard not too.

It was a fun car. 1998 V70 T5 Manual with a 2000 R motor, H&R lowering springs a big track spec rear sway bar, some other go fast stuff under the hood a full 3" stainless turbo back exhaust and a nice tune. It was a hoot.

You’re supposed to rub it first...

Koni double adjustable coilovers that came off an IMSA RX-8 with very high spring rates. Big Hotch kis front bar and an NC Miata rear bar with all the swaybar linkage upgraded. Poly bushings everywhere and offset camber bushings that get me up to 3.75* of camber in the front. 17x9 RPF1 wheels with 255 Bridgestone RE71's. Custom lightweight midpipe with a HJS catalytic converter into an HKS single exit exhaust. Gutted airbox. Lightweight battery. Front and rear shock tower bars. Porterfield R4S brakes. SOHN adapter with a custom reservoir. COBB Accessport with a mild tune.
Thats about it I think. Besides the rear diff, I could upgrade to a Racing Beat header and find some lightweight seats but that won’t net me a whole lot.

Welllll I’m a truck driver so I have a very different opinion on ride qualities versus the masses haha. It’s a fair trade off for the type of feel I want out of my vehicles. :)

sidenote, working with delrin sucks, it machines funky and the vapors it emits are toxic.

That’s an awesome build right there, and the car looks amazing. Having driven a stock TX8 (minus racing beat exhaust) I was very impressed with the chassis dynamics. I can only imagine your’s is seriously nimble.

I haven’t attempted to do much machining with it yet. I’ve heard it can be tricky.
